It is without a doubt that Korean filmmakers are in hot demand. As the industry’s leading directors make their English language debuts, a new generation of filmmakers have begun to be recognised on the international festival circuit. Presenting works from both emerging and established directors, including a special presentation of Park Chan-wook’s Stoker, this spotlight will focus on those at the cutting edge of the industry.
KOFFIA Short Film Comp
The KOFFIA Short Film Competition was once again open to all Australians who wished to express their connection to Korea through film making. This annual event is supported by industry partners Metroscreen, The University of Sydney and Sydney Film School, and sees finalists compete for the $5,000 in cash and prizes on offer.
The 2013 screening and awards ceremony will feature the 10 short films from our promising finalists, who have amazed the selection panel with their talent and passion for the screen. Join industry professionals and our filmmakers for a session that is bound to satisfy your short film craving. PLUS Includes special screening of Kim Dong-ho’s short film JURY.
