About KOFFIA
Welcome to the 2025 Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA)!
The 16th Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA) sweeps into Sydney from 21–26 August 2025, bringing a vibrant collection of 10 Korean films that pulse with emotion and energy. This year’s lineup weaves heartfelt dramas about family bonds, laugh-out-loud comedies that lift the spirit, edge-of-your-seat thrillers packed with twists, and tender romances that stir the soul. From high-octane action to a reimagined classic in stunning 4K, each story dazzles with bold visuals and raw heart, inviting you to laugh, cry, and dream. With four acclaimed directors and one actor from one of the films joining for Q&A sessions, KOFFIA offers an intimate dive into the artistry of Korean cinema, celebrating stories that connect us all.
After a stellar debut, KOFFIA’s Touring Program returns for its second year, growing from three cities in 2024 to six in 2025—Toowoomba, Whitsunday, Victor Harbor, Parramatta, Alice Springs, and Benalla. From September to October, these communities will host free screenings of four handpicked films, sharing Korean cinema’s magic with regional Australia through local council partnerships. Whether you’re in Sydney or joining us in the regions, the 16th KOFFIA is a celebration of human connection and cultural exchange, delivering unforgettable tales that resonate far and wide. Come experience the joy of Korean storytelling at its finest.
